Rotary?
Rotary is short for Rotary International. Service
above Self is Rotary’s motto. It is a world-wide association of
local clubs for business and professional men and women
who:
• provide humanitarian service to the community at
local, national and international level
• encourage high ethical
standards in all vocations
• work for goodwill and peace in the
world
And what is Ware Rotary
Club?
The Rotary Club of Ware is an
organisation of like minded business and professional people who
want to put a little back into the community both on a local and
international scale, at the same time as enjoying good fellowship
and forging lasting friendships.
Our membership is open to all and currently
numbers in the mid 30's, professions represented range from Butchers
and Bakers to Accountants and Solicitors with a variety in between.
Local projects include:
* Ware Annual Firework Display in cooperation with
the other Ware Rotary Clubs
* Mock interviews.
* Essay competition for Junior schools.
*Young Photographer competition, for information

*Stroke awareness day
Internationally:
*The Rotary Foundation is the largest private
charity in the world.
* Polio Plus - Rotary is rightly proud of its
contribution in ridding the world of Polio
* Water Aid.Shelter boxes, Aqua boxes
* Humanitarian projects.
