Please allow me to introduce myself and tell you why I have decided to run for Toronto District School Board trustee in Ward 12 Willowdale in Nov. 2006.
I am currently retired from the Ontario Public Service where I served, among other things, as Superintendent of a Jail and more recently, as a Financial Advisor.
These days, the main issue facing School Boards is a financial one and more specifically dealing with budgets.
I believe my experience as a Financial Advisor for the Province of Ontario will benefit the people of Ward 12 because I will be able to ensure that educational funding in Ward 12 is directed to the areas that will be most useful to their children, resulting in a sound education for them.
I am asking for your support this election day Monday November 13, 2006.
