| This is the Warbird Factory, a site dedicated to modelkits. You can see on this page the A-7D Corsair II of Japan´s Hasegawa in 1/48 scale. I built this kit for a Midwest US costumer. Hasegawa kits are known because of the excellent details and fit. To make this specific kit even more special, my customer and I, we added some extra details and accessories. A Black Box resin cockpit a Seamless Sucker intake duct and Baremetal decals of the Ohio Air National Guard. The result can be seen. Picture above: on the instructions manual with pre-assembled wings, but the intake already filled and sanded. It took 3 days of filling and sanding to get it right: really seamless. |
| Above: This is the Black Box cockpit painted with Humbrol enamels. A little drybrushing with silver and gray gives a realistic touch. Left: Air Power Directory (World Airpower Journal) shows our target. One of the USAF squadrons with the A-7 in operation (in the 80'ties). Under left: protected by a plastic bag (the camouflage pattern had already been painted), the nose is painted gloss black.
