WELCOME TO WANTOKS-IN-AMERICA!

Hey, wuzzup ya'll!

This is an idea only of a few wantoks out here in the US, to have a cyber-home for wantoks in the Americas to "bungwantaim", "ahebou", or meet virtually, and perhaps in person.

While many wantoks have yet to agree on the usefulness of this idea, this website will remain the informal home of all the wantoks in the Americas, to give you a snap shot of what's up with wantoks in this neck-o-the-woods.

Wantoks in the Americas include Papua New Guineans by birth, Americans, Canadians, those in countries on the southern continent and other nationalities with an affinity to PNG by work, marriage, touristic and other affiliations/relationships.

The site is presently under construction and will evolve by-n-by. Your input to that evolution is most welcome. We are amateurs in this area and are hopefully ready to be adviced and told off ... we'll take all depending on our tolerance level to harrassment.

Planning on the boards include a link to a WANTOKS-IN-AMERICA 'gris' forum (yet to be created), a few fotos to change from time to time -- depicting events in the lives of wantoks around here, stories, tit-bits, children's creative works and other stuff, depending on the megabytes for free. Individual wantoks are encouraged to inform the
web caretaker of their personal home pages to include in the links of personal home pages below. Those who wish to create their personal pages, I believe, can do so using the www.oocities.org pagebuilder or other pagebuilders of personal choice by signing up with them, so that happenings in their neck-o-the-woods can easily be updated and information about opportunities for a "bungwantaim" between any two or more wantoks around the continents can be shared. Your personal views on what's going on back in PNG and around here can also be posted on your personal home pages for others to view while you are spared of the instant harrassment that typically happens on a discussion board.

Perhaps, as wantoks feel like it, they might want to sponsor a monthly rate for a premium domain site instead. Again, we seek your input on the idea of a cyber-home and if you agree, your feedback on how to improve it, are welcome. If this does not have any meaning and usefulness, we'd like to hear about that too.

Happy holidays ya'll na stap isi long 2002 and beyond!
