WALT YOUNG DIDGERIDOO AND GUITAR CD RECORDED LATE 2000 OR SO $8 US FREE MAILING PLEASE GO TO www.myspace.com/waltyoung to contact me for mailing SOME REVIEWS Walt Young does what no one else does in his own particular raucous style. Playing the didgeridoo (really playing it) is no small accomplishment. Playing didge and guitar at the same time however is phenomenal. Now add some foot percussions and squeeze some vocals in somehow and Viola! Primordial Boogie!! Jess Walt's "Working My Way Back Home" contains some beautiful moments for guitar players and didgeridoo players alike. It's really a great listen. ED Just got your new CD. Cranked up the stereo to earthquake. Guess the cats will come back home around dinner time. JC Thank you for the fabulous performance last night. Everyone I've spoken to loved your music. KB I really enjoyed hearing you play Friday night. Your guitar playing was good before, but even better now:)) Also really enjoyed your new CD-nice job. BS You and your musical style are on of the few that quenched my inner needs to play, just by listening. DP Great CD. I feel it has such potential to reach a wide audiencce, I am going to be using parts of it as the soundtrack of a new video I'm producing and also in the Northern California Journal weekly TV show that I produce. RA When will you be putting out another CD? I want the first signed copy. CN |

A BIT ABOUT ME Long about the early 90s I got very interested in the Australian instrument known as the didgeridoo/didjeridu/yidaki. I began importing didgeridoos from Australia and teaching basic workshops and playing around the San Diego area. It was not untill late 90s for some reason I picked up an acoustic guitar and found I might be able to play both at the same time. Having not played guitar for a few decades I rekindled my guitar skills and found my self composing my own music with the didgeridoo. This has taken me on quite a musical journey to say the least. Over the past years I have preformed at new age stores, coffee houses, grade schools, world festivals, city festivals and large corporate functions , San Diego Convention Center for thousands of people, five star resorts and not to mention a few good old rowdy dives. Needless to say I have met a lot of wonderful people and made many new friends in my music travels which I am always greatful for. I do have waltyoung.com reserved however myspace.com is tons easier. So to check out the latest things going on go to www.myspace.com/waltyoung Thanks for stoping by... Yes, I have moved to the Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree area of California. As of January 2007. |
