| Frances Walsh is a native Texan, born and raised in Crosbyton, Texas in West Texas. Music has always been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. She was invoved in her church choir and then later, in her school choir and band. After graduation, Frances moved to Lubbock, Texas and went to Draughons Business College. She also went to work for John Halsey Drug as their book keeper for four years. She then got married to Mike Walsh and together, they moved to East Texas. After moving there, they then relocated again to Glen Rose and then to Grandbury, Texas. She has been in the local music business for many years and is well known in the music industry. Her executive experience is due in part from being appointed Vice-President of the Country Love Music Association. She was the past President of her adopted daughter, Krystal Dawn's Fan Club and is currently the President of the Patsy Montana Fan Club. She is the talent cordinator for the Patsy Montana Foundation, and was the past talent cordinator for the Tyler Dome Opry in Tyler, Texas. Over the last ten years, Frances has been a judge for many music industry functions and events within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and in the surrounding areas. In 2000, she was the secretary/treasurer for the Fort Worth Songwriters Association, and assisted in providing the talent for the senior citizen fund raisers. In 2001, Frances accepted the position of treasurer for the Fort Worth Song Writers Association. In late 2001 and early 2002, Frances helped Fred Mendoza, a former manager of LeAnn Rimes, put together several showcases of performers who traveled to New York to perform for the firefighters who were involved with September 11, 2001. For three consecutive years, Frances operated a show at Buzzard's Roost in Granbury, Texas. Each year, she also organized and produced an annual award show for her "Showcase of Stars". Her skills as a talent scout, artist manager, music organizer, promoter, producer, and adviser have given her the respect of the local Texas music industry. |
