| Dear Fellow Dog Owners, Thank you for taking your time to visit our site. We have proposed to the Walnut Park Commission to establish a fenced, off-leash dog park for all walnut residents. Our request was presented in the Oct. 21st Commission meeting. |

| In order to push this project forward, we need to demonstrate to city council that there is such a need within the city. Thus, we would like to call for an email petition drive. Please help spread the words and send your support to walnutdogpark@yahoo.com no later than December 16, 2003. We will present the petitions to the Park and Recreation Commission in the December 16th meeting. |
| We will post total number of signatures gathered on this site and please check back with us for new development in regards to this issue. There are many successful dog parks in Southern California and a great example would be the Long Beach City Dog Park. Please click onto their website for more details. Better yet, visit the park in person and in dog. It’s fun! |
