What is the Walk? A small group of enthusiastic individuals spent their summer walking the 1000 miles from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Washington, D.C. The Walk began on Sunday, June 2, 2002 in downtown Milwuakee and ended on August 11, 9 days ahead of schedule, in Washinton, D.C. The walkers spent most of their nights camping and occasionally stayed in host homes. What is the purpose? |
