He purchased land in Champaign County which later became a part of Bethel Township, Clark County. According to local history, Hugh was born 14 Aug 1778 in PA. From PA he went to KY and then Ohio. I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness or abilities that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now.
