Dear Diary,

This world is amazing! Smart people are almost looked at like -- gods -- or something here. It's the kind of adulation we give sports stars like Michael Jordan back home. Quinn's double and the Professor's double are famous! Can you believe that? You see, they have this game here, based on both your physical prowess and your intellectual skills. And Quinn's double was the captain. Arturo was a player as well back in the day. Both of them were mobbed like they were movie stars or something as soon as we landed here. It was unreal!

They called Quinn and the Professor's double the "Sliders." Oh diary....do you think it means we might have a shot at going home? Quinn said there might be a chance if we can just locate the sliding machine. It's why we've decided to fill in for this world's Quinn and Professor. If only they can find it!

I do worry how Quinn will fare playing for his double. He's supposed to be the captain of a game he doesn't even understand. And these guys are serious! I mean, we're talking tabloids, contracts, the whole nine yards. I just hope he doesn't embarrass himself. He's been studying the game all day, and I know he's really nervous about playing.

Oh my god! And you should have heard this song that we saw on MTV (Mind TV!!!) today. It was called "Library Rap." I just about died when I heard it. It makes those old "Conjuction. Conjuction. What's your function?" songs from my childhood cartoon days sound almost hip.
