Wildcats open new season with weekend split.
The Wadena Wildcats opened the 2004-2005 season with a 6-2 loss against the Kelliher Komets this past Friday night but rebounded one night later with a big win the next night over the rejuvenated Kelvington Wheat Kings.

The new season also marks the return of the Kelvington Wheat Kings to the FLHL.
In an era where senior hockey in rural Saskatchewan has become a thing of the past in many small communities, it is great to see a resurgance in Kelvinton, one of Wadena's historical rivals to the north.
