WADE BELAK
-I'm slackin on the update, as usual. Wade's return lent to exciting play with a take no prisoners feeling. However, again the dark cloud of controversy is covering the Air Canada Centre. Wades suspension for an obviously accidental hit may have left the team in a gloom. Mark Messier and Todd Bertuzzi are sitting at home and watching their teams from their couches. The league has decided that there is enough violence in the game and wants to reduce it. the only problem with that is that the sport is partly based on violence. Checking someone into the boards is a violent act. Jamming your stick into a goalie to force the puck under him, again a violent act. True, the league needs to draw a line. But they also need to know what an accident looks like, and a sucker punch from behind. SO.. WADE.. the best is yet to come... don't sweat the little stuff. Think about how rested you'll be when you come back for the play offs. We miss you. On a lighter note, for Valentines Day, my wife bought me a VHS copy of some of Wades Classic Moments in his hockey career. From his time with the Hersheys up till now..I can tell you Wade has been a force to be reckoned with. Luv Peace and Chicken Grease - James
