Current project for 3rd hour:
For the next 3 weeks, we will be writing a fictional story.  The story must have 2-4 characters, a plot containing a clear climax, and a setting.  The final project should be 4-5 pages typed, double-spaced.
Student email is not available at this time.
For the next 3 weeks, we will be busy exploring primary and secondary sources.  Each source offers its own unique insights and contains its own pitfalls when using them as research items.
Questions for Treasure Chest project:
Writing Process for story
1.  Create 2-4 characters.  Provide a name and brief physical description of each.

2.  Decide who the protagonist and antagonist are.  Provide character traits, actions, voice, clothing that will help the reader discover who the protagonist and antagonist are.

3.  Decide on a problem for the protagonist and antagonist to have.

4.  Outline 3-4 steps or clues leading up to the main problem.

5.  Use the previous 4 activities to create your first draft.

6. Peer edit

7.  Create at least one conversation for the characters in your story to have.  Make sure that every time a different person speaks that you (as the writer) begin a new paragraph.

8. Use quotation marks around the exact words that the people in your story say.
