There aren't many rules here, common sense an courtesy
take key roles, however. But here are some of the rules set in place:
Foul language won't be tolerated (First, a warning)
Material that is deemed generally inappropriate (such as sexual content, pornography, sexual orientation, etc) be left out of the
channel
Powergaming is forbidden (such as generally making your char invincible, or extremely powerful)
Behavior that is inappropriate for RPGing is not permitted
Temporary characters be placed on the "Temp Chars" page before use
New chars must be cleared by management before use

And likewise, a small set of suggestions on player (mun) behavior
First and foremost, have fun
Be courteous to fellow players, we want a close-knit group, not a distant club
On heated discussions, think before you type
Be courteous to other's, especially their thoughts and ideas
Try to add a sense of realism to the game- but heck, have fun while you do it,
too
Be positive, it'll help lighten the RPGs up a bit
When you're in an angry mood, best bet is to minimize IRC for a while and cool
off
If a topic arises that you're not interested in, take a short break
