All of us are affected by many different and unseen forces on a constant and daily basis. The pull of the moon on the tides and oceanic creatures, the chill of winter and it's affect on our vitamin K resources, the light of the moon or the warmth of the sun - these are all effects which have been documented by mainstream science. They all work to modify the behavior of humanity as a group.
Astrology takes all of these things into effect, and goes one step farther. There are many factors which change our behavior individually. However, these are usually caused by either our personality or others, both of which can and have been formulated into a science which deals with just that situation. This is the science of astrology.
Basically, astrology is the science of determning the actions of individuals or groups, taken singly or together. Alternatively, you can also check the likely effect and potential inherent in a specific location of place/time, either alone or against any of the above.
Once you have this information, you can go even farther. What we have so far is a moment in time and place, frozen. If we choose, we can begin the gigantic clock of the heavens turning, and compare its motions to our picture. We can see the moment when paths open up, doors close, and new opportunities arise.
