Action Reviews:
KNOCK-OFF

The cast of Knock-Off is highlighted by action mega-star Jean Claude Van Damme and comedian Rob Schneider (who is best known for his role on Saturday Night Live and his later appearance in the short-lived television series Men Behaving Badly). It is truly a shame that this movie has provoked such a venomous reaction amongst those whose business it is to review movies.

Unlike countless other action flicks, Knock-Off doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. Therefore it should be seen for what it is and be judged accordingly. Breaking the mold cast by numerous action films that came before it, Knock-Off sheds the shackles which so often limit a film and allows it to explore and experiment. From the creative camera work to the unorthodox choreography of the action scenes it is evident from the start that the creators of the film were making a conscious effort to avoid following any pre-conceived prototype of success. The purpose of the film is merely to entertain the viewer. Any effort to dissect the meaning beyond this point would be futile. No one goes to an action movie expecting profound enlightenment. You go to escape reality and be entertained. Knock-Off does just that. Check it out!
