Getting to the Pilot Screws
You will need to remove the seat, fuel tank, throttle drum cover, and air cleaner housing.
Remove the throttle drum cover to make room to drill the plug out on the left side carb.
The arrow in this image points to the pilot screw plug for the carb on the right side of the bike. This would normally be hidden by the air cleaner housing.

I used a 1/8" bit. The metal is very soft so don't apply much pressure while drilling.
These two images show the plugs after being drilled.
Use a screw that will get tight in the hole with about two turns.
Turn it with a screw driver until the plug starts to turn.
Use a pair of pliers to wiggle the screw up and down and gently pull the plug out.
Image shows the removed plug and an arrow pointing to the now exposed Pilot Screw.
Turn the screws in until they are lightly seated then just turn them out 3 1/4 turns.
I suggest you buy a manual for your bike. I got mine from http://www.helm.com/
