About me.........

I'm a 21 year old junior at Virginia Tech. I'm studying Mechanical Engineering. I grew up in a small town called Stafford, VA. It's not so small anymore. I can say that I'm one of the few people who have lived in the same house their entire childhood.

Anyways, I have a few hobbies that I enjoy very much. Learning how things work is my passion. I can remember taking apart my toys as a child to see how they work, but I never did get them back together. Now that's what I call a sign of a good engineer.

My next favorite hobby has to be working on cars. I've been working on vehicles ever since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. I think I replaced a clutch in a VW beetle when I was at least 6 yrs old. My first car was an 85 Olds Cutlass Salon with a Buick 6-banger in it. I drove that for about 2 years through highschool until a kid on a bicycle cut me off on a back road and I ended up in a ditch. Upon highschool graduation I finally got a car that I could work on and improve, my 85 Camaro Berlinetta.  Life's been great since then.

Even though the day I got my first Camaro was a memorable day,  I think the best day I can remember is when I met my present and at the time my first girlfriend, Nicole.  The day was March 3, 1997.  My life had been so much better since that day.  She's my number one baby, the car's baby number two.  I had to promise it would stay that way.

I have to give Nicole some credit, she will let me talk her ears off about cars just because that's my hobby.  And she actually understands why us engineers have to constantly solve problems, and when there are no problems to be solved, well, then we make our own.  That is take something apart that isn't broke just so we can "improve" it.  She's the greatest, most caring person I know.  She's definitely someone I don't want to lose.

Well, it's been a whlie since I updated this page. Nicole and I have been married about 1.5 years now. I'm finishing up my Master's degree at Virginia Tech and looking for a job come graduation. As for the car......long story, but she has a new 350 in her now and I'm slowly ironing out the details. It's been a 2 yr project nonetheless. Currently I'm in the process of replaceing the front-to-rear brake line....don't ask. Thanks for stopping by.
