1980 - 1978                    Compton Corporation                                    Abilene, Texas

Compton Oil Corporation was purchased by Southwestern States Marketing in 1978. With a promotion to President of Compton, I took charge of all personnel (approx. 100); use and maintenance of three pipelines; as many as sixty oil transport trucks and trailers; barge facilities and the buying and selling of reclaim oil. I continued to purchase and sell lease crude for both companies. Compton purchased on the average of 12,000 barrels of crude oil per day and had a gross revenue of approximately $500 million annually.

Vice President in charge of purchasing, selling, and scheduling 70,000 to 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day with major and independent oil companies.

Manager of a reclaim oil facility in Brownsville, Texas.  During this time, I supervised the constructions of a small refinery designed to clean reclaim (slop) oil.

Maintenance Supervisor: After nine months of driving and transport truck and hauling materials for oil field service companies, I was promoted to this position and was responsible for maintaining the equipment and for scheduling drivers and the loads.

       Truck driver. Transported gasoline and diesel to service stations and independent

Upon graduating from high school, I went to work for this company full time.  I began servicing trucks and was promoted to mechanic. I then hauled crude oil and was promoted to the position of truck pusher and supervisor of truck drivers.
