OBJECTIVES of Ph.D:
The project is designed to achieve the following objectives:
1. Development of lipid nanospheres of different size, charge and surface characters using various oils,biocompatible emulsifers, surface ligands and process variables.
2. Evaluation of tissue distribution pattern of LN in mice infected with Leishmania donavani.
3. Assessment of drug delivery to the specific sites i.e., to phagocytes, liver and spleen.
4. Optimization of targeting of drug to specific sites by modifying the LN characters.
5. Accelerated stability testing of LN exhibiting desired therapeutic effects and stabilization of the products.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Project work: Undergone training in the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB) for some techniques like Biochemical estimations, Peritoneal macrophage isolation, Preparation of histological slides, In vitro culture of Leishmania donovani and maintenance of the strain in vivo, Toxicity studies and other enzyme assays employing spectrophotometry, Animal studies involving all modes of injections.
ABROAD EXPERIENCE
Worked in Germany on DST (India) and DAAD (Germany) collaborative research programme for a period of fifty days in the University of Cologne, Cologne.
