Hello! My name is Vladimir. This is my website dedicated to mathematics. You'll see a list of PDF files which, I hope, will be helpful for studying and reviewing various topics in calculus. There are several tips at the bottom of the page which I though might be useful. Good luck with studying the queen of sciences!

TIPS:

If you'd like to make an appointment with a tutor you want at the most convenient time, you should call front desk at (646) 312-4830 on Friday afternoon when they start making new appointments for the next week.
You can download a complete TI-89 manual or only chapters you want here .
To be a more efficient and productive learner you should know your learning style. There are four basic learning styles: visual, aural, read/write, and kinesthetic. To find out which one is yours and to get more information on this topic go at the VARK website and click on "Questionnaire."
When you take a multiple-choice test, don't try to guess by just looking at the possible answers. First try to solve the problem and then compare the result with the choices.
Another technique is eliminating the wrong answers, called educated guess. Let's say there are four choices; the probability of guessing the right answer is just 25% and picking the wrong answer is 75%. After a quick thought you might eliminate two of wittingly wrong answers; the probability of guessing the right answer would increase to 50% and picking the wrong answer would drop to 50%. This is a much better deal!
However, if you run out of time or have no idea what the right answer is, you can try to guess it. Usually the right answer is not the first or the last, and it is the longest one (because it takes more words to formulate a perfect answer). Even though this technique does not work all the time, it can be handy in some situations.
Read all the choices before choosing the answer especially if you have a choice "All of the above" or "None of the above."
You can find useful information at the SACC website as well as download sample tests from the previous years.
