The story behind
these photos --
Shortly prior to my taking
these pictures, a fence was temporarily removed on the north side of Fort
Point
under the Golden Gate Bridge.
As the photos illustrate, I wasn't the only sungazer to take advantage
of the fence's absence,
which was all too brief.
The fence, by the way, was
erected to protect visitors from lead-based paint that was stripped from
the
bridge many years earlier.
At least that's what the official story seems to be. And when will
they declare
the area safe again?
Your guess is as good as mine.
