Hi! My name is Jenny. I'm a High School junior. Volunteering is a big part of me. I think that it is a very important thing and that everyone should do some sort of volunteering. It not only makes you feel good about yourself for helping someone, but it also puts a smile on the faces of those whom you have helped. I feel that if every one of us volunteered, our world would be so much better.

Some of my volunteering experiences includes:

volunteering at recreation centers: setting up for holiday toy drives for abused children

participating in walks; setting up for walks

helping out at big events sponsored by various organizations such as United Way, YMCA, Red Cross, etc.

on-going virtual volunteering with The Virtual Volunteering Project.

It was brought to my attention that sites like this one which pretains to a specific location are lacking on the web. As a volunteer, I have noticed that finding a volunteering opportunity is not as easy as it seems, especially if you're under the age of 18. I have always managed to find volunteer opportunities through the service clubs I'm in at school. Another resource of mine, would have to be the internet. Then again, searching the internet for such information can be difficult and may consume much time if you're not very familiar with searching the web. Well, the under-aged volunteers living in the Palm Beach County area are in luck. This site targets to solve those problems. I created this site in hope of pormoting volunteering. I've taken the time to do all the searching, so all you have to do is the volunteering!
