06/04/00: more live shows

Void IX have confirmed more shows in the following cities. Furgus, Peterborough, and Campbellford. More shows are set to be announced as soon as venues are secured. For more info please see the TOUR page located on the site. Also, in regards to the new album, Void IX have currently laid down three tracks and have enlisted the expertise of Watchman bassist Ken Tizzard who will be "helping out" in the studio. The album will be self produced by the band. More details to follow.

05/12/00: live shows

Void IX will be playing the Aron Theatre in Campbellford on Thursday May 25th 2000. Also on the bill is Myrmidon from Cobourg and acoustic artist Mike Wallace. Memebers close to the band say that this will be the first show to display a lot of the new material rumored to be part of Void IX's new album. Details for the album are still being kept secretive with the producer and studio still to be named. The only thing we have to work with is the tentative title of "Neck Deep in the Circutry", which is likely to change before the album's release. As for other shows, the band will be playing venues in Peterborough, Cobourg, Port Hope, Belleville, and Toronto in the next few weeks. Show information will be posted as soon as it becomes available from management.

04/21/00: video shoot

Void IX will be shooting the video to the first single from the new album sometime at the end of next month. The much anticipated album which is rumoured to be titled "neck deep in the circutry" (a title that is subject to change), will be recorded next month and should be ready for the July 9th release date. OE and the rest of the band have been demoing new tracks for over a month now, and the results look promising with the new songe sounding much more intricate than anything recorded to date. Inside sources have reported that the songs are amazing and that fans will be more than happy with the results. Keep checking back for continued unpdates.

04/06/00: free for all 2000

There will be a sequal last summer's free independent music festival and Void IX are rumoured to be headlining the evening once again. Also rumoured to be on the bill are Toronto's Spookyhorse, as well as Ian Town, and Freedom Denied. We will keep you posted on any additional information as soon as we hear it.

04/05/00: new album

The band is currently in the studio laying down tracks for their forth coming as yet untitled album. The tentitive release date has been rumoured to be July 9th 2000, but of course, this is subject to change. According to members close to the band, the album will consit of at least eleven new songs and possibly more if time permits. The band has also announced that it will support the new album with a mid to late summer tour. More details to follow.

03/16/00: new album

As rumured, Void IX will be recording their new album in the next couple of months. The band has been hard at work demoing almost fifteen new songs and will be entering the studio at the start of May.

03/02/00: free for all disc

The Free For All release will be available next summer and Void IX have been included on it. "...", "Safe Haven", and "Light Fades Away" will all be included on the disc which is entitled Free For All '99: Live From Memorial Park. Watch here for a solid release date.

02/19/00: void ix wins first in belleville

Void IX triumphed last night at the Belleville Battle of the Bands 2000 winning first place. Held at Loyalist Collage and consisting of other bands such as The Bluetones, Fully Clothed Men, and many others, OE and the rest of the band won with a short but heavily charged set. Along with Let Me Breathe and The Race, the band also showcased a brand new song that supposedly will appear on the new album. Tune into Belleville's Mix 97.1 on Wednesday for a live interview and in studio performance.

02/15/00: "the race" single released

Void IX's limited edition single "The Race" was released today. The new single features two new songs which are apparently demos of songs to be found on the new album. Also included is a alternate version of Let Me Breathe and a live version of "..." from the Free For All music festival. The single is limited edition and only a few copies have been pressed for fan club members and press. 02/10/00: loyalist battle of the bands confirmed

Void IX have confirmed their appearance at Belleville's Battle of the Bands 2000 to be held at Loyalist Collage on the 18th. Rumour also has it that the band will be unveiling one of the new songs to appear on their much anticipated new album for the first time. Void IX as well as other local bands of the area will be taking the stage at approx. 8:00 p.m.

02/03/00: void ix fan club

Fans of Void IX can now join the band's Fan Club at voidix@hotmail.com. The band wants to get in contact with as many of their fans as possible in order to send them up to date contest information and merchandise offers.

01/01/00: new years wishes

Void IX would like to wish all of their fans a very safe and happy new year. The band has announced that they will be making a lot of waves in the months to come, particularliy a new album and possible summer tour. Please keep posted for further deatils and info.

12/13/99: free for all disc

A live compilation album of the very successful Free For All festival that Void IX headlined is in the works and is planned for release sometime next summer. Details are sketchy at this point but it seems that Void IX will have three songs on the disc which will also include tracks from Freedom Denied, Guilttrip, Kennel District, Ian Town, and many more. Additional information should be on its way soon.
