Formoz Music Festival
This is an annual modern rock festival , held at an old zoo on a north Taipei hillside. The setting was terrific, with 5 stages set among winding paths and traditional brick buildings
It was a 3-day festival, but we only went for the last day. The music doesn't start until after sundown, which makes a lot of sense in the middle of the summer heat. Other music festivals are usually held on the beach.

The only American act we saw was Lisa Loeb, and she put it this way- she said "I'm from Galvaston, Texas, so I know hot summers. But this, this is like Dallas hot"
Sure- beach ball, why not?
I love this sign- "guitar smashing in progress"
This Japanese punk band-- called The Vickers-- were a big hit. They didn't speak any Mandarin, but kept trying to scream in English "I love Taiwan beer" (see the sponsor ad behind them)
