User Registration

By registering yourself in the GameDev.Net community, you make yourself available to the wide range of new and great features we offer. We're particularly proud of our forums, which were developed in-house and tightly integrated with the rest of the site. Your registration details can be used anywhere on the site to make your viewing experience more enjoyable. Our form Auto-Fill(tm) technology alone is well worth it! (it fills in forms on our site with your username and other relevant details)

Regarding Your Email Address
In order to help prevent abuse, we require that all user accounts have a valid email address. To verify that your email address is valid, once your registration is complete, an email will be sent to you containing your account password.

Note that the email containing your password will be automatically generated, and will use the exact email address you enter. In other words, if you try to include an anti-spam string in your email address (e.g. myemailNOSPAM@mydomain.net), you won't receive your password, and you won't be able to use your account. If you are really concerned about spam (and we DO have measures in place to deter the harvesting of email addresses from this site), simply uncheck the "Show My Email Address" box below. This will prevent anyone but GameDev.net administrators from viewing the address you enter.

Note that the personal information provided in the form below will never be sold to any third party vendors. Furthermore, you won't recieve any spam or junk mail as a result of registering with us either. Your registration stays with us.
