My name is Peter Severson and I am running for the Board of Education
in Janesville, WI.
I have been living in Janesville in since April of 2004. I live with my wife Kathy, a Janesville native, and our two children, a son age 6 and daughter age 4. My son attends Monroe elementary.
We moved to Janesville when I accepted a job with Rock County Human Services as a Child Protection worker. We moved from St. Paul, MN, where I worked for the Minnesota Department of Human Services on the help desk for a statewide computer case management system for all the Social Workers in the state. Currently, I am working for the Wisconsin Supreme Court as an Analyst for the Consolidated Courts Automation Programs (CCAP). I have been in this position for nearly three years.
Last year, I unsuccessfully ran for a position on the board. It was the first time I had run for elected office. It was a fabulous learning experience. I look forward to sharing my views with the citizens of Janesville and ask for your vote in the Spring elections. br />
