Asscor is a music genre that was started in the fall of 2003 by The Gimps. The basic mixing of 42 herbs and spices ranging from Rock to Punk and everywhere in between, Asscor was made so that The Gimps could place themselves into a genre bracket, and not have to worry about people telling them that they were not what they claimed to be or play. Too often, people are quick to judge a band by its genre, wherein Asscor, does not give them this chance, because it is basically everything and nothing it claims and changes between bands, but keeps a basic idea...confused? Yeah, thought so. Basically, if christened by The Gimps or another Asscor band, you or your band can be Asscor, If you do not beleive in dressing a part or caring what the fuck it is that you are playing, as long as YOU like it and don't mind dodging shit thrown at you. If your band has the goal of spreading an idea in its own way, letting a sound be heard, or maybe it's just a shotty side project, chances are that it is welcome if it is more for you and your band than anyone else. These days, bands tend to sound far too much like one another, because they are frightened that people will not like what they hear and they won't make money, so they won't get on the radio, and they won't end up on MTV....which is the ultimate goal, correct? Politics seem to be a popular subject in Asscor band lyrics, be they great or meager. One does not have to listen for the messages, or is not put on the spot to agree. Offer your insight, we would like to know. If you see what is meant by all this, then good job.
