Carmona is a lovely city with a history dating to the Roman Empire.  Here are several views of the city. Carmona es una ciudad hermosa con una historia que incluya el Imperio Romano. Aquí están varias vistas de la ciudad.

           Sevilla
The Giraldi examplifies Sevilla's fascinating history.  The Giraldi was first constructed by the Moors as a minaret and was used for calling the faithful to prayer to the city's main mosque which stood next to it. Following the reconquest of the city, a cathedral was built on the site of the mosque and in 1558, a bell tower was placed on top of the minaret. Here are two views. El Giraldi proporciona a un ejemplo de la historia de Sevilla. El Giraldi fue construido por Moro como minaret.            Cordoba
Ten centuries ago, Cordoba was the capital of muslim Spain. It was an intellectual center for Muslims, Jews, and Catholics that fostered advances in mathematics, astronomy, and philosophy. Here are three photos; two show Torre del Calahora, the Roman bridge over the Guadalquivir River.  Hace diez siglos, Córdoba era el capital de España musulmana. Era un centro intelectual para los musulmanes, los judíos, y los católicos que fomentaron avances en matemáticas, astronomía, y filosofía.  Aquí están tres fotos; Torre del Calahora, el puente romano en el río de Guadalquivir, en dos fotos.
The Mezquita or Cordoba Cathedral is amazing structure.  It was built as a mosque in the 8th century and then consecrated as a cathedral in the 13th century.  Here are three photos of the exterior. You can see a bell tower that was once a mineret,  surrounded by orange trees. La Gran Mezquita o de Catedral de Córdoba es una estructura asombrosa. Fue construida como mosque en el siglo ocho y después consecrated como catedral en el décimotercero siglo. Aquí están tres fotos del exterior. Here's the interior. The first photo depicts the forest of columns built for the mosque.  The second photo shows the 18th century choir stalls built for the cathedral. All of this under one roof.            Granada
Granada is a beautiful  city surrounded by the Sierra Nevada mountains. Granada was the last muslim city to be defeated in the conquest of Spain. In 1492, Isabella and Ferdinand defeated the Moors in Granada, uniting Spain under their reign. Here are several views of the city and mountains from the Alhambra.  Granada es una ciudad hermosa rodeada por el montañas de Sierra Nevada. Granada era la ciudad musulmana final que se derrotará en la conquista de España. En 1492, Isabel y Fernando derrotaron amarra en Granada, uniendo España bajo su reinado. The Alhambra is magnificent. It served as the royal palace of Moorish Kings of Granada. Here are exterior and interior photos of Patio of the Myrtles, the center of official activities. According to legend, it was in in this room that Queen Isabella reached into her jewelry box, pulled out some jewels and handed them to Christopher Columbus to pay for his voyage to the new world.  El Alhambra es magnífico. Jerez is a picturesque city that has a rich history that dates back to the Phoenecians. Here is the main square. Jerez es una ciudad pintoresca que tiene una historia larga que incluya el Phoenecians.  Aquí está el cuadrado principal.
Jerez is famous for the sherry produced there. And the most famous sherry producer in Jerez is Tio Pepe. Here are some barrels of sherry in production.  Jerez es famoso por el jerez producido allí.
