Texas Bluebonnet Program 

The Texas Bluebonnet program is an award for outstanding 
books. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 participate by voting on 
their favorite book from a list of 20 books. Voting is held in 
January. The book receiving the most votes from Hall as well 
as other 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students from all over Texas 
gets the Texas Bluebonnet award for that year.

 Library Reading Certificates

  • Students in grades 1-5 can earn these district reading 
  • certificates by completing the following: 
  • First Grade: Five book reports completed by May 16, 2003 
  • Second Grade: Ten book reports completed by May 16, 2003 Third Grade: Fifteen book reports are completed by May 16, 2003
  • Fourth  Grade: Fifteen book reports are completed by May 16, 2003
  • Fifth Grade Twenty book reports are completed by May 16, 2003

6 Hour Reading Club

This program is sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks to 
encourage reading. Students reading 600 minutes between 
January and February receive a free ticket to Astroworld.  Six Hour Reading Club Student Tally forms due by Thursday, March 6, 2003.
