thinking

December.

My favourite time of the year. Not because there's snow. Of course not! Hate the cold really. Like it for obvious reasons... Christmas, the warm fuzzy feeling, the nonstop rain that makes the street shine with droplets, feasting (but oh the exercise to make up later!), hols.

But to be honest, I like it best cuz of the hols.. it's like suddenly the time stops for awhile and you can afford to laze in bed, smell the flowers, sip coffee- how divine.

Just returned from Bangkok (yet again). I went there last year. Went again this. I ate kway teow soup on the streets the last time. Did that this time again. I guess I like the familiarity of doing the same things, eating the same food.. boring maybe but well, it's a short getaway so let's save up the bucks for the exotic trip to France or Spain for the next time.

I'm not in a terribly good mood now because these 2 weeks are for me to read up my teaching materials for next year. That means starting work again. I feel this black mood descending upon me, I feel my veins tensing up for the 7am-6pm work routine and 8pm-9pm piano practice day again. Ah, to have reality set in the lazy dec days........ to have the light glare set in after the hazy candlelight.. to have the music stopping after a wonderful dance.. to have to clean up the mess after a cool party. Reality bites.

New year 2005. Time flies. I always say that. I'd say it now. You feel it flying with greater urgency as the double digits in your age toggle more. Where it is flying to , you're not too sure. And as I always say, let the new year be one where I'd be more positive, balanced, loving. ..let the new year be one filled with fun, laughter and excitement then maybe, I'd just omit the excitement bit cuz I don't crave for excitement all that much anymore.
