Polar Bear Sales - January 4-6, 11-13
To help figure out how many cookies you need, sign onto the Online Order Entry system and on the Girl Order Summary click on Polar Bear Order.  You will need to know how many hours you will be working and how many girls are working.  Then you can put in how many cases you would like under the actual order, calculate and then there will be a suggested order.  Keep in mind this is only an estimation and there are never any guarantees because sometimes the cookies sell great and sometimes it doesn't go as well.  If you would like to change your actual order you can otherwise just save.
After all your Polar Bear Sales are over, please take out your troop profit and deposit the amount due to council.
PLEASE NOTE:
It does get cold while your selling outside, so please make sure the girls and adults are prepared.

COOKIE BOOTH
COOKIE ORDERTAKING
Receiving everything in your troop packet and all the reports can be overwhelming whether you're doing troop cookie manager for the first time or even if you've done it in the past.  Below are descriptions of what is included in your packet as well as each step on your troop reports.  If you have any questions, please contact Debbie Chika or Nancy Tannahill.

Girl Ordertaking form - Fill out the front with the necessary information.  For safety, please use only the girls first name and last initial.  Check due dates and coordinate with your due dates; change if necessary.
Solicitation badges/letters - Only certain towns require these if the girls are going door-to-door.  For a list of towns please check your Managers Guide.
Deposit Slips - 1 for ordertaking money and one for booth. If your troop is not doing booth then disregard #2.
Troop Identification Card - This will need to be placed in your windshield on the day of cookie pickup.
Money Envelopes - Hold onto these until the girl picks up her order, otherwise it may get lost.  All checks should be made out to Girl Scouts of Dupage and the money should not be collected until the cookies are delivered.  If money is collected ahead of time it could get lost and then it's the troops responsibility to replace the money.
Need more cookies?  Visit the cookie cupboard location in your area to pick more up!

When placing your cookie orders this year it's good to keep in mind the following tips ...

1. If no one sees you eat it, it has no calories.
2. If you drink a diet soda with a candy bar, they cancel each other out.
3. When eating with someone else, calories don't count if you both eat the same amount.
4. Foods used for medicinal purposes have no calories.  This includes a full sleeve of thin mint cookies eaten for energy and any flavor of Edy's/Dryer's Girl Scout Ice Cream.
5. Movie-related foods are much lower in calories simply because they are a part of the entertainment experience and not part of one's personal fuel.  This includes Milk Duds, popcorn with butter, Junior Mints, Snickers, and Gummi Bears.
6. Cookie pieces contain no calories because the process of breakage causes calorie leakage.
7. If you eat the food off someone else's plate, it doesn't count.
8. If you eat standing up, the calories all go to your feet and get walked off.
9. Girl Scout cookies have no calories if you are a registered Girl Scout.
10. STRESSED is just DESSERTS spelled backward.
Is your troop is doing Cookie Booth this year, either Polar Bear or Regular Sales?  You can check out signs to use at your booth site.  These are great signs provided by Council to help show off your booth!
