Since its start in 1950, Formula-1 has been the pinnacle of all motor-sports on this planet. A F1 car is easily one of the most technically advanced piece of machinery and represents the enormous capabilities of todays automotive industry in terms of speed as well as safety. But more than anything else, Formula 1 is a passion!

So here are a few interesting trivia for all those F1 maniacs... like me

By now it is quite obvious which team I support... So lets start with something about 'Scuderia Ferrari'

2. Ever puzzeled by why the name of Ferrari F1 team is 'Scuderia Ferrari'?

This name is the name of Ferrari's racing division and was the name of the original racing club formed by Enzo Ferrari in 1929.
Scuderia means a regional fighting team of knights, which in term is derieved from the word scudo - a shield.

Some heritage, isn't it! I am sure all the other teams have one too...

1. The Williams F1 team was formed by Frank Williams, who himself was a race driver.

2. Currently Toyota is the youngest team in Formula 1, established in the year 2000. Even though, the Red Bull racing team entered Formula 1 after Toyota, it has got its roots in the old Jaguar team, which has raced for ages.

3. McLaren team is the second oldest among the currently running teams. It was formed in 1963.
