GENERAL INFORMATION

VikingWorld's Annual SpringFest has been cancelled for 2008. When planning starts for 2009, the details will be posted. The general framework will be consistent with recent years. The general information below will serve as a guideline until all details are worked out.

The weekend begins Friday evening with registration in the hotel lobby from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and our Hospitality Suite. The hotel has a Happy Hour in their lounge with free hors d'oeuvres if you purchase 1 drink. This is followed by our Charity Bingo Game (Proceeds go to the Third District Charitable Trust Fund). The Viking Boat Regatta will be held Saturday afternoon (March 17th) and the banquet on Saturday evening.  The weekend concludes with the Third District Bowling Tournament on Sunday at River Lanes in Titusville. Bowling starts at 11:45 sharp.

ROOM RESERVATIONS
Do not call the Hoilday Inn Toll Free reservation number or ask for "reservations" when calling. Use the Titusville direct number provided below and ask for the front desk. Only the staff at the Titusville Hoiday Inn can provide us the special rate we negotiated.

A special price of $TBD per night (up to 4 in a room) has been set aside for members and friends of the Sons of Norway. This price can also be extended for anyone wanting to arrive early or stay later to see any of the area attractions.  Be sure to indicate you are with Sons of Norway and request this special rate when reserving.  The direct number for reservations is (321) 269-2121. Reservations must be made prior to Friday March TBD, 2009 to guarantee this rate!

BANQUET INFORMATION
This year's banquet is a buffet dinner for $TBD each. The entertainment is TBD. If you would like to attend the banquet, you may down load the following form and follow the mailing and payment instructions.  Reservations are required by Friday, March TBD, 2009.

Banquet Items:  Garden Salad, Caesar Salad, Roast Chicken, Stuffed Flounder, Prime Roast Carving station, Potatos, Green Beans, California Mix (carrots, broccoli & cauliflower), rolls & butter, Warm Apple Cobbler, Key Lime Pie, coffee or iced tea.

REGATTA INFORMATION

The Viking Boat Regatta will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2009 as follows:
Captain/Coxswains Meeting,                 10:30 AM
Viking Boat Sail-by                              12:30  PM
Traditional Florida Viking Boat Regatta   1:00   PM

The Boat Captains & Coxswains meeting will be held the meeting room by the registration table in the lobby.  We request that both the captains and the coxswains (if you have both) of each crew attend.  You will be introduced to the race officials. We will review race rules and the captains will draw for start position and heat.  This is the place to bring your questions.  Boats can be launched at the adjacent public boat ramp.  There is plenty of parking for Viking boats and their trailers.  Between race heats the boats can be beached in the marina in front of the Hotel. VENDOR INFORMATION

As in previous years, we are planning on having a
"Vendor Area" where items may be displayed and sold to the public on Saturday, March TBD. Our feature item is a fairly good selection of Rosemaling Art on a variety of wooden surfaces. This is a wonderful way to acquaint people with the handcrafted items that are not easily available elsewhere. Other Lodges and vendors are welcome to set up a table, for a fee. Please contact Keith Lavin (below) to get more information.
The Holiday Inn has permitted us to set-up tables to use for this purpose.  It is important that we, as planners, be furnished with information regarding your Lodge's requirements.  Therefore, we
ask that you download and complete the following form and return it to us no later than Friday, March TBD
