• Points will be deducted on the total score of choral groups who violate
the following:
a) Wearing of school uniform – 10 points
b) Piece not memorized (use of “idiot board” during the performance)
– 10 points
c) Choreography – 5 points
Any coordinated body movement not intended to create sound is considered choreography.
Snapping, clapping, whistling, etc. are not considered choreography, but must
be indicated in the arrangement.
• Points will be deducted for every minute gone over the performance limit. Seconds will be rounded up to the higher minute.
• Performances will be evaluated using the ranking system. After the judges give numerical scores to each competitor, the competitors will then be ranked from highest to lowest, 1 being the highest. The “rank numbers” of each competitor from each judge will then be added. In case of a tie, standard deviation will be used to break it.
• The decision of
the Board of Judges shall be final.
