Chorus Angelorum and Mark Kruczek, Artistic Director, cordially invite the public to attend its annual concert on Friday, October 21, 2005 at 8:00 p.m., at the Cathedral of the Holy Angels, 640 Tyler Street, Gary, Indiana.

The 20th annual concert will open with Mr. Kruczek performing Organ Sonata No. 3 in A Major composed by Felix Mendelssohn-Barholdy; a piece that explores the multi-tonal sounds of the organ repertoire.

The centerpiece of the program is the uplifting Mass in B-flat Major (Theresa Mass) composed by Franz Joseph Haydn, an inspired work for chorus, orchestra, and soloists stands as one of the great choral compositions of the classical period.

Other works performed at this concert include deeply spiritual and haunting a cappella music from the Russian Orthodox Church, such as: The Cherubic Hymn (No. 7) - Dmitry Bortniansky, Blessed Are They, Whom Thou Hast Chosen - Peter Tchaikovsky, Excerpts from the All-Night Vigil, Op. 37 - Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Bless the Lord, O My Soul - Nikolai Tolstiakov.

Admittance to the concert is free, however, Chorus Angelorum welcomes donations to support and sustain its continued success. The concert is appropriate for age 8 and older. Seating capacity is 800 and is wheel chair accessible. Ample, secure parking is available. Reservations are not required.
