Oil
paintings of a wide variety of wildlife subjects (moose, loons, foxes,
a barred owl, mallards, herons, a
bear, etc.), landscapes and trails, and watercolor paintings of coastline and landscapes of Maine, a lighthouse, domestic and wild
flowers and commissioned works of special places of business.
I originally began oil
paintings of moose from my own
photographs, and gradually included other wildlife, landscapes
and flowers. Using a limited palette of colors, oil Paintings were created using an Italian
glazing technique of mostly wildlife,
landscape scenes of Maine and some flowers.
Note
cards of a variety of eight images of my oil paintings are also
available.
I have expanded the variety of
subjects with watercolor paintings in the last two years.
The watercolor style varies from realistic to almost abstract, and
includes wildlife, flowers, landscapes, seascapes and commissioned works
of art.
Most, but not all, of these paintings are
based on actual photographs taken by Vi Eastman.
