Victor's BLF botchup website
I decided to put up this website to share information with other people who are trying out the Body for Life program by Bill Phillips. |

I started my Body for Life program Monday 14/1/2002 having brought a weightset and exercycle as part of the program. After about 4 weeks of following the program, increasing my resistence exercises to higher levels, continuing eating my normal high protein balanced carbohydrate meals I decided to do something a little extra before I took my first set of photos to monitor my BFL progress - I decided to wax. I was unsure of how to go about this so I asked my partner, who waxes all the time and is quite experienced when it comes to these kind of things. Anyway I asked her to do it for me so she went and brought some NAIR wax strips. This page is just a warning if you are thinking of waxing...

Well here are the results of my waxing. Beleive it or not it looked much worse, this is after a couple of nights when I finally decided I would take the pictures. The pain of my skin on my chest was so intense one light bedsheet covering my chest at night caused much discomfort and stinging. The skin developed a tightness as of a burn and I missed out on a couple of days of work where I must do heavy lifting. I still had slight scarring from the incident several weeks later. |

I emailed these images to the Nair distributor, Carter-Wilson Ltd. The Australian parent company told me it looked like the wax strips were pulled outward or upward resulting in the torn skin. However the strip was pulled straight back while the skin was held taut. It was suggested I might also have had a reaction to seafood or a severe case of dermititus. But I dont.
