Douglas Bishop was born and raised in Germany, where he began his studies with the archaic Panflute at the age of ten years. Widely travelled and multilingual, Douglas also teaches and builds Panflutes, and has conducted extensive research into the Panflute's history. In addition to his role as a member of Vic Donovan's Big Dog Band, Douglas is an established solo artist with his own previously released CD, "Origins of a Minstrel". Douglas is also an award-winning web designer, and the webmaster of the Big Dog Band's website.
