'Perilous Voyages' page 95 notes - events on the Manlius arrived 15 Feb 1842, with typhoid-stricken migrants. Henry Brandreth, former convict dispenser at Melbourne Hospital, was sent to assist Dr Watson in the care of sufferers in the sick camp, but he became a victim of the disease. Two more former convicts Bartholomew Burns/Byrnes and James McKenzie, were employed to bury the 17 who died after arrival.
