Grew up in the silicon capital of India, Bangalore, I prefer calling it the Garden City. The most lasting childhood memory I have is of playing with twigs and insects. I left appa's (dad's) singing and mom's cooking to pursue a masters in computer engineering at Boise State University. Life as a graduate student in a new culture was a mixed bag, on one hand I missed my parents and the food and on the other hand I grew in confidence and had never before imagined independence. The past two years have been a series of interesting events, cultural nights, newsletter articles, house hunting, biking, crashing bikes, hiking, skiing, pottery, business classes, break-ins, emergency rooms... Phew!!! That definitely is a long list |
