The American Staffordshire Terrier
written by Jacqueline Fraser

Buy The Book

This is a must have book for all AmStaff owners! It has information specifically on the American Staffordshire Terrier. It has facts I never knew about until I read it and it's not the general dog breed info either, but the specifics on the AmStaff itself! This book contains information on kennels, has great pictures of important dogs past and present and shows you how to properly manage your AmStaff. I recommend it to anyone who is interested, owns or wants an American Staffordshire Terrier!

The American Staffordshire Terrier: Gamester and Guardian
written by Sarah Foster

Buy The Book

This book captures the true meaning of the AmStaff! This is one of the best books I have ever read about this amazing breed of canine. This book is not about the generic information one reads in many of the books on this breed, but it is about the history, personality and purpose of this courageous breed. It contains pictures, tips and everything else you can think of!

The Boxer: Family Favourite
written by Stephanie Abraham

Buy The Book

The Boxer is the ideal book for the pet owner, novice fancier, and veteran enthusiast alike. The reasons for the Boxer's solid reputation can be recognized throughout this bright, new book. Those seeking information on the breed for any reason will find all their questions answered by one of the Boxer World's foremost authorities. Like the other titles in Howell's Best of Breed Library, this book features chapters on all aspects of caring for and enjoying a dog in and away from the home, and includes several valuable appendices!

The Complete Boxer
written by Tim Hutchings

Buy The Book

A must for any Boxer lover, this all inclusive book examines every aspect of owning a Boxer, giving practical advice on feeding, training and exercise. The book also guides the reader with tips on showing his or her dogs, with the breed standard analyzed in depth. Breeding is covered, too, with advice on mating, whelping, and rearing a litter. Other topics include origins and development, raising a puppy, training, managing adults, and health care!

The Doberman Pinscher
written by Rod Humphries & Joanna Walker

Buy The Book

This is my first book on the Doberman, and what a wise choice it was. I especially appreciate the absence of arrogance in terms of the Doberman as compared to other large breed dogs. Understanding my own Doberman is now a lot easier than before I purchased this book. The authors's years of experience in breeding Dobermans as well as their love for the Doberman is obvious. The book is very comprehensive. Photographs are mainly black and white with a few full coloured ones in between!

Doberman Pinschers
written by Raymond Gudas

Buy The Book

A really good book. A good choice for novice owners, covering some basic info. It did a decent job with the history, very brief and concise but got the job done. Not a very reliable, "true" source, but a good second opinion. It did keep my interest though, and had a picture of one of the great fawn dobes, Ch. Ravenswood 20 20. I would have liked them to describe the four colors, and also mention the white dobes, which are harmful to the breed. Overall, a satisfactory book, with some good points!

The Great Dane: Model of Nobility
written by Jill Swedlow

Buy The Book

A beautifully written, informative book on Danes. This is a wonderful book, I really enjoyed reading it. The author covers a broad range of topics and goes through each point thoroughly and complete. I found this book very educating and I found that all my questions were answered. From breeding to color strains, temperament to behavior; this book has it covered! A very well written book!

The Great Dane Handbook
written by Mary McCracken

Buy The Book

It was very thorough, interesting and fun. It contains photos and well written text explaining things other books fail to cover. I found it informative, educating and exciting. The Great Dane Handbook covers every topic I know of and and it describes each point in an organized and complete manner!

The Complete Rhodesian Ridgeback
written by Peter Nicholson & Janet Parker

Buy The Book

The definitive book of Rhodesian Ridgebacks. For anyone considering a Rhodesian Ridgeback this book is a must read. It covers topics including the history of the breed from Africa, Europe and the United States with detailed information on noted breeders in each country. It has great information regarding breed specifications from markings to growth patterns. However, it could use a little more information on how to train puppies with first time Ridgeback owners!

The Rhodesian Ridgeback Today
written by Stig Carlson

Buy The Book

I own several books about Ridgebacks but this is one my favourite. It is an enjoyable and informative read. Many of the photos are stunning. This book is the best thing that has hit the market since The Complete Rhodesian Ridgeback some years ago. Top winning ridgeback´s from all over the world with lovely pictures and information! Congratulations if you buy this book!
