On the eve of the third millennium, I have turned fifty.

It's been quite a life.

Three grown kids, immersed in a world of music (they forget, but I remember the nagging: practice, practice, practice...).

Two decades as a TV journalist -- when the profession was honorable in Serbia, ending with a "compulsory vacation" (a Yugoslav invention) in 1993, for political reasons.

Return to my real profession (Alma matter Museum School of Art, Tufts University, Boston, MA), which is painting and ceramics. Finally I find what it is I want to do in life.

I have never been happier.
