Asher was the first to move, charging straight ahead, sword raised high.  People gasped in awe at the spectacle of that huge blade being held so easily by the alchemist.  Down it came, crushing into the ground in a fiery blast that shook the ground nearby.  Voyse wasn’t their, however, but quickly back flipped away from the lumbering strike and gracefully landing inside a merchant shop.  Asher easily lifted his sword again and gave a mighty horizontal strike, taking the entire front of the shop with the strike, but still there was no assassin with it.  Instead, he ducked below it, quickly raising and grabbing falling wood and diving at Asher, who was picking up his blade to strike again.  Using his uncanny agility, Voyse went into a front flip in mid air, launching his planks of wood at the alchemist while avoiding another swipe of that mighty sword.  Up came a wall of fire that eradicated the wood.  That wasn’t the end of it, however, for Asher quickly commanded the wall to move forward, which would press the assassin against the wall and into his demise.
This was no ordinary assassin, however, and Voyse suddenly faded into the darkness, coming up instead by Omurai, who spun around with a quick slice of his katana, too quick for Voyse’s liking.  He fell into motion with the skilled warrior of Cloud City, his daggers against the extremely swift moving katana, each swipe of his blade seemingly blasting Voyse with a gust of wind.  That did little to deter him, however, and he pressed Omurai back.  Away went the katana, and out flashed his wakizashi.  The smaller blade found quicker movement with the duel daggers, working them aside easily and even going in for a strike or two.  None ever hit, however, for Voyse would use his uncanny dodging skills to avoid the strike.  A fireball quickly reminded Voyse that he was fighting two foes, not one, and they were both quite good.  Down went Voyse into a low duck to avoid the fireball, but he quickly fell back into a roll to avoid a vertical chop of that full blade.  Omurai came forward then, his katana once again replacing his wakizashi.
Voyse used the shadows to his advantage, disappearing within them and reappearing behind the two, causing them to spin around to face him.  He continued this, trying to tire them out, but the only thing he was doing was draining their patience.  A sudden blast of wind that everywhere in a 20 foot radiance of Omurai knocked Voyse out of his shadows and onto the ground.  Asher, well used to the tactic, had his full blade up as a shield to avoid behind knocked back.
Voyse leaped to his feet and then went into a desperate dive as a green blade of wind cut through the air in front of him.  He looked around for some advantage he could find, for his usual tactics with the shadows wouldn’t work with the wind adept about.  He decided to use some magic of his own.  A dark orb of energy flew forth from his hand, barreling straight towards the two companions.  A wall of fire added quick protection, but the two had to dive out of the way anyways as the ball of energy continued through the barrier and smashed into the ground, eating away a hole.  Two more balls followed, and then a swirling gust of dark blades.  The orbs were quickly avoided, but the blades seemed more of a challenge.  A whirlwind changed that, however, and turned the power upon its origin, forcing Voyse to block it with a dome of dark energy.
Asher dropped his full blade and drew out his falchion, which burst into a not-so-solid blade of fire.  He swept the blade in front of him, causing flakes of fire to burn off in random directions.  Forward he went with the blade, causing Voyse to fall into full defense.  On came Omurai as well, his quick katana moving deafly fast for its size.
Voyse concentrated his daggers on the katana, constantly dodging the flaming blade when necessary.  He saw clearly that these two together were more than a match for him, so he devised a plan to change those odds.  A sudden wall of dark energy sent Asher smacking into a nearby wall.  Forward flashed Voyse’s daggers at Omurai, who lifted his katana with one arm, using his now free arm to pull out his wakizashi to knock away the second projectile.  Voyse pulled out two more daggers, and dove for Omurai’s upraised arm.  He almost got his strike in, but a fireball sent him to the ground, once again rolling and patting out the fire.
Asher spat out some blood from his mouth as he climbed back up from the ground, a grim expression on his face.  Omurai threw him an appreciative smile as he turned around on the assassin, who was already in motion.  Down went the wind adept under the force of Voyse’s lunge, a dagger plunging into his side, the other aimed for his heart, but it found nothing but metal armor over it.  Omurai instinctively kicked Voyse off and began to rise, but found the dagger stuck in his side agonizing to move, so he crumbled to the ground in pain.  Voyse went into a dash towards the staggering alchemist, who looked up just in time to find another blast of pure dark energy coming his way.  He managed to dive away, only getting clipped in the leg and spun to the ground, landing hard.  The two finally managed to get to their feet minutes later, but the assassin was long gone, heading north.
After the amazing display of the two companions fighting the assassin, the guard was too terrified to even come near the two, even while they laid on the ground in pain.  Omurai finally worked the dagger out of his side, glad to see that it hadn’t gone in too deep.  Still, the wound required tending, so he quickly dressed it and retrieved his weapons, which had been knocked out of his hands from the tackle.
