One of the giant’s eyes were grossly enlarged with a heavy mucus covering much of it.  The other one was partially covered by what appeared to be an overgrowth of skin.  The rest of the giant’s face was also lumpy with patches of skin folded over the rest.  It was easy to guess that the rest of the giant was like this under the armor as well.  For a second Ezekiel felt sorry for the beast, and paused on his third strike.  The giant took advantage of this break and landed a heavy blow on the colossus’s face, chipping off parts of the stone visage.
Ezekiel didn’t make the same mistake twice, and retaliated with a swing of the flail, crashing into the giant’s upraised up, the chain wrapping around its arm, and gave Lament a few minor cuts.  Lament jerked the flail back and swung it at Ezekiel, who blocked with his wounded arm, causing more cracks to form.  The giant held up his weapon to strike again, but Ezekiel caught the weapon chain and copied the movement the giant used only a moment ago.  Ezekiel tossed the flail as far as he could.  The giant weapon landed in the wall of the sub-tower of Tier Bastion, causing the entire tower to shake.  Next, Ezekiel threw himself at Lament, punching the disfigured face over and over again.  The giant countered one fist of it’s own, and then the second one.  The two stood face to face, both fists locked, and at the same time head butted the other.  Both stumbled backwards, stunned.
Ezekiel shook his head and stared down the recovering Lament.  The two charged forward, Ezekiel stopping short and spinning around Lament.  Once behind him, he threw out his right arm, and a mass of vines and heavy plants sprouted from Ezekiel’s arm and enwrapped themselves around Lament’s neck.  Ezekiel tugged the giant to the ground.  Afterwards, he held the make-shift whip with both hands and began to swing the giant around.  Slowly at first, but soon the giant was swinging at arm’s height to Ezekiel.  Once he gained enough momentum, he released the vines and let the giant go flying down into the crater surrounding Tier Bastion.
“H-he did it!  He’s still alive!” Kara shouted, moving up beside Faux, who was moving towards Ezekiel slowly.
“Hey big guy…you alright?” Faux asked softly.
Ezekiel turned a glance down at his two companions and without a word turned back towards the eastern fields of Tier Bastion.  Many soldiers seemed to be moving to the south.   Without any commands, Ezekiel charged towards the Bladenheart soldiers.  Kara and Faux quickly darted after him.
Ezekiel hit the crowd of soldiers like cavalry, using his size to merely throw them all around.  Fists and boots of stone crushed and stomped soldiers in every which direction.  Seeing his prey trying to flee, Ezekiel created giant trees and vines all interlocked together like a gate encircle all the soldiers.  It was now his slaughter pin, and he continued to maul the enemy.  In no time, not a single soldier was left alive.  Kara and Faux stared at the carnage with awestruck eyes.
“Ezekiel…are you alright?” Kara asked.
The colossus stared down at the paladin and gave a warm, comforting smile.  Just then, Ezekiel flinched and seemed to lean forward, cracks forming all around his torso.  He fell to his hands and knees to reveal Lament, wielding Mourn’s hammer, standing behind the earth adept.
“Ezekiel…Ezekiel!” Faux cried out, moving towards his friend, who waved him away with his bad arm and began to stand up.
The two gargantuan beings stood face to face, Ezekiel cracked and scared all over, and Lament beaten and battered.  A grinned formed on Ezekiel’s stony face as he looked back at his friends for the last time.  Lament charged forward with his hammer, literally shattering Ezekiel’s wounded arm and leaving a dent in his chest.  Ezekiel punched out, but it didn’t matter, the giant pounded away at his chest until he was on the ground.  In seconds, the figured that was Ezekiel was reduced to rubble.
Faux, who was unable to move during the entire scene, stood trembling with Ezekiel’s scythe in his hands.  He took an uneasy step forward and stared at the giant, tears filling the water adept’s eyes.  He stopped however, when he heard Kara cry out Ezekiel’s name.  Faux turned to see Kara on her knees, bawling her eyes out.  The rogue moved to comfort his friend, but paused as Kara looked up at the giant, her eyes no longer a bright blue, but entirely shining gold with streams of golden tears running down her face.
