Independent filmmakers promoting their completed films or works-in-progress receive special low Filmmaker's Rates. Ads available in text only form or in text-and-image form. NOTE: VENT! will not run ads for filmmakers seeking starting funds for a project, or for screenplays. Filmmaker's Rates apply to films that have not yet secured distribution.   

All non-film advertisements (e.g., for services, products, companies), or advertisements for films that have a distributor, should contact VENT! for rates.  

TEXT ONLY ADVERTISEMENT 
Rate: $10 for one month, $25 for three months 

Only written material (no images). Filmmaker must compose their own advertisement with all information they want included (e.g, synopsis, principal cast and crew, upcoming screening venues and dates, festival awards, critics blurbs, contact info). Text must be no longer than 100 words. At the filmmaker's request, VENT! will revise/update text for the length of the ad's run. The editor reserves the right to not accept written material if deemed unsuitable for publication in VENT! Ad text can either be e-mailed to VENT! or mailed to the address at bottom of page.    
 

TEXT-AND-IMAGE ADVERTISEMENT 
Rate: $30 for one month, $75 for three months 

Accompany your text ad with visual material (production still, flyer/postcard, logo). Filmmaker should provide a variety of images in assorted sizes (no larger than 5" by 7"), specifying the order of his/her preference for each image. Above rates include one (1) image. Add $10 for each additional image (maximum of 3 per ad). Restrictions of an image's usability are based on ad size and appearance. Image(s) in ad will be no larger than 2" x 3" or may be smaller depending on quality of image resolution. No pornographic material accepted. VENT! will be responsible for the ad layout. We will not design the visual material. The editor reserves the right to not accept visual or written material if deemed unsuitable for publication in VENT! Text should be no longer than 100 words. At the filmmaker's request, VENT! will revise/update text for the length of the ad's run. Image proofs will be presented to filmmaker for his/her approval before publication. Images will not be altered after publication. Text and images can either be e-mailed to VENT! or mailed to the address below.
