-NEXT WAVE FILMS-
Next Wave Films, created to support emerging filmmakers,
specializes in providing completion funds for ultra-low budget
(under $200,000) indie features.
While our focus is on fiction features, we will also consider
non-fiction films with strong theatrical potential.
To be eligible, films must be English language and in some stage
of post-production
(having completed principle photography), but not yet at the
fine cut stage.
We provide finishing funds for up to four films a year and serve
as a producer's rep for these films,
helping filmmaker's to implement a film festival strategy and
secure distribution.
We also assist these filmmakers to find financing for subsequent
features.
Because we do no production financing, we are unable to consider
scripts or pitches.
However, filmmakers making ultra-low budget features are encouraged
to notify us
once their projects go into production.
If you have a film that is currently eligible, please e-mail
us with a request for a submission form
to be sent back to Next Wave Films with your VHS cassette of
your film.
If you have an ultra-low budget film that will be eligible,
but is now in pre-production with a start date
or is currently in production, please e-mail us for our application
form.
