Josef Freiherr Krautwald von Annau
Josef Krautwald was born in 1858.  He was promoted to Feldmarschalleutnant on 11 May 1913, was placed in command of the 34. Inf. Division on 2 August 1914, which was part of the VII. Corps of GdI Otto Meixner. In January 1915,  he was given command of the X. Corps, replacing Otto's brother, GdI Hugo Meixner. In March 1915, Krautwald was transferred to command the III. Corps, replacing GdI Emil Colerus v. Geldern. Hugo Meixner took Krautwald's place once more as commander of the X. Corps, but only briefly. Krautwald was further promoted to General der Infanterie on 1 May 1917.  In January 1918, Krautwald was replaced by GdI Hugo Martiny as Commmander of the III. Corps. 

Josef Freiherr Krautwald von Annau died in 1925.
