VCU uPDaTe WeEk 13 – Games Ending December 1, 2008
IGGLES IMPROBABLE RUN.
At 5-5-1, the Eagles looked cooked.
Making one more late season run, they are now 8-5-1 and poised to get into the
post season by winning out with either Atlanta or Tampa losing once. It may very well come down to game 16 vs.
the Cowboys. Over the past three games,
no team in the NFC, maybe in all of the NFL, has played better than the Eagles.
What is maddening, of course, is all the wasted opportunity vs. Chicago, vs.
the Redskins, vs. Cincinnati that leaves them on the bubble. There are NO
standout teams in the NFL, not even the Gnats nor the Titans. THIS is a great year to steal the Super
Bowl.
DONNIE’s FUTURE.
Three weeks ago, we were pretty sure that
he’d be a Bear or a Vike in 2009. But
now, does that give you a good feeling? Forget how badly Kolb played in his relief
sessions, the jury is still out on him. But who is ready to cast off Donnie
now?
