Welcome to my web page!
(outrageously outdated)
I am currently with NextEngine, Inc.
in Santa Monica, California.
During my Ph.D. studies, I was involved in research in Computer
Vision (with a focus on color
constancy) and Neural
Networks. After
graduation, I worked on the numerous computer vision and image
processing projects.
Current and past research interests include:

Advanced image compression:

Most of the papers listed below deal with the application of
neural networks
in color science (it was the main topic of my Ph.D. thesis). Part of
the
work done in this area with Dr.
Brian Funt (my senior supervisor) and Kobus
Barnard was patented (US patent
5,907,629).
-
However, not all of my work focused on neural networks and
color science.
There are some papers that deal with unsupervised language acquisition,
the result of research work done with Dr.
Bob Hadley.
-
Due to copyright restrictions, I was not allowed to post the content
of some papers.

(it turned out to be so difficult, I had to write this guide).
By the way, I sold the car in the
meantime, it was just too much pain...
